How you lead a group of people is based on the trust you put in them. A example of this is in a high school when student has a free block (no class) they can do within limits whatever they want without constant observation from a teacher while in other high schools where they do not trust the students when one of their students has a free block they has to stay in the classroom with a teacher they do not do anything wrong. The first high school has a good reason to trust the students at their high school because their belief in human nature states that give the right circumstances most people will do the right thing.
I Locke completely agree with this statement. I agree with the fact that in most circumstances most people will do the right thing. I strongly think that in all high school you should trust the students to do what they want in there free blocks because most will do work and do what they would do while being observed by a teacher of adult.
"The governed have a responsibility for their governance."
In a government the majority rules, if the majority is not happy they will throw out the government and replace it with one that the majority would like. An example of this is the way that Locke preferred the ending to the Lord of the Flies. In Locke’s ending he stated that he would like the majority to overrule jack’s monarchy and then promoted Ralph and his democracy. This is just like in a regular democracy, when the majority does not like a leader the leader can be impeached and a new one can be chosen because almost always the majority will rule.
I Locke extremely agree with this statement. When one person is unhappy it is most likely that there are many more people that are also unhappy, and when the time comes that all the unhappy people realize that more people are unhappy they will rebel and the government will fall and change to the majority.
"Human Nature does not determine our actions: it inclines us towards us towards certain actions."
Human nature leads our actions to a extent but after that its more to what our minds want us to do, and what we’ve been taught. I think that to a point yes we will do what human nature makes us do too survive but after that people will think civilized. An example of this is if you have 2 people stranded on a island with one sandwich and one bottle of water at first they will argue over the food but after they will become civilized and realize that to live they need each other.
I Locke disagree with the argument about the food I believe that the people would always be civilized and they would split the water and split the sandwich. People will always be civilized and think first before anything.
